China beckons

So the joke in China this week is all about quality of life: “The quality of life in Beijing,” they say “is so good that you don’t even have to buy cigarettes anymore. You simply open your window and smoke to your heart’s content, thanks to the government. And the government has been even more considerate in Shanghai: Turn on the taps in Shanghai and they feed you with delicious pork soup.”
